Content Marketing and Communications Manager
Job Summary:
The Content Marketing and Communications Manager plays an integral role in developing and implementing effective communication and marketing strategies that build brand awareness and customer satisfaction for new products, launches, events, and promotions. This individual will create content (blog posts, decks, press releases, newsletters, etc.) that remains on-brand with Zift messaging, and provide valuable tools that help our prospects and customers every day. Your job is to ideate, own and execute a comprehensive communications strategy for Zift Solutions that increases awareness of Zift, and create content that truly impacts our audience.
You must be able to simplify complex ideas and strategies from the organization for consumption by internal and external audiences, understanding how to make Zift’s messaging relevant and work effectively with others at all levels within the organization.
You will ensure all company materials have consistent and positive messaging and branding, and you will perform quality control audits on all communications and corporate materials. In addition, this role will play an important part in developing external relationships and working with media outlets and other companies for public relations purposes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ideating and executing a content creation and marketing strategy aligned with business objectives: driving awareness, qualified leads, pipeline, and revenue, while simultaneously helping prospects do their jobs better.
Rapidly creating content (2 - 3+ new pieces / week) including but not limited to: web page copy, video, blog posts, skyscraper content, case studies, datasheets, templates and guides and more.
Content can range from educational to inspirational to execution-focused while always connecting with channel organizations across the world.
Leveraging content for maximum impact by deploying it across channels and formats, including management of social media accounts.
Rolling up your sleeves and creating content, while managing a team of writers and creators to scale content creation.
Obsessing over driving and measuring impact across the content you and your external team create - you’ll have a supportive team to collaborate with as you define and measure the ways your content drives demand.
Strategically managing other key brand touchpoints, such as review sites and industry events, to ensure a consistent brand presence and top-notch thought leadership.
Serving as the liaison and point of contact for external relationships and working with media outlets and other companies for public relations purposes.
Writing and sharing internal communications related to departmental news and other company initiatives.
Immersing yourself in all things channel, interviewing and soaking up knowledge from experts.
Collaborating closely with Senior Director of Marketing, Director of Product Marketing, and Demand Generation Manager, as well as building collaborative relationships across all company functions.
Required Qualifications:
A degree in Marketing, Journalism, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
At least 5 years of content creation experience.
A great communicator in writing and other media such as video and infographics.
A deep understanding of keyword research and ability to create content that is both laser-focused on prospect value and optimized for search.
Experience creating content at scale and owning a framework to do it every week.
An affinity for research and a skilled interviewer that loves to talk to SMEs, ask questions and integrate that knowledge into your content.
Ability to own and manage a content calendar, meet your own content publication deadlines and motivate others to do the same.
Ability to speak the language of the channel - whether you’ve worked in it before or not.
Experience balancing content creation while managing a team of writers.
Comfort working as an editor and providing feedback, as well as willingness to accept editorial feedback from others - an ego-free writer that loves to write.
Highly organized and process-oriented, with no trouble managing complex projects.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a B2B or SaaS environment is preferred.
Technical marketing abilities and experience with software and platforms such as Marketo, Salesforce and Google Analytics.
